   A felicidade, telos (finalidade), da vida humana, é o estado de "triunfo da vida". O sofrimento altruísta, exigido pela sociedade, é o sinal de alerta do fracasso, da morte do indivíduo. O homem não pode não escolher sentir se algo é bom ou mau para si. Mas pode escolher o que ele considera bom ou mau para si: o que lhe alegra, o que lhe causa dor, o que ama ou odeia. Aqui cabem escolhas filosoficamente maduras. Neste cálculo, deve sempre pesar mais o indivíduo, menos os outros ou o que dele vão pensar.
